The engine section separates top-side, left-side, right-side, and center-crankcase work. Top-side and side-component repair can be performed with the engine/transmission in the frame, while center crankcase service requires power-unit removal. Coverage extends from valve and camshaft inspection through piston, cylinder, starter clutch, magneto, centrifugal clutch, oil pump, crankshaft, countershaft, and transmission service. Internal drivetrain work includes secondary bevel-gear tooth-contact and backlash adjustment rather than stopping at simple assembly replacement.
