This Aprilia factory workshop publication (P/N 8140742, first edition October 2003) covers the 2004–2009 RSV 1000 R and RSV 1000 R Factory. It is the US-edition Cycle Parts Technical Manual, with RSV R and RFACT variant references.

Fuel Injection and Axone Diagnostics

The multipoint injection section extends to fuel pump and delivery-filter replacement, fuel level sensor removal, injector checks, and throttle body reassembly. Inspection criteria cover the throttle linkage and control-shaft end play.

Axone tables explain live parameters, actuator activation, and frozen fault parameters. They distinguish standard and racing mapping, throttle position self-teaching, adaptive-parameter initialization, and activation of a replacement ECU.
