Suzuki Manual Features & Content Preview

This factory service manual set covers the 2014 Nissan Sentra B17 four-door sedan for the North American market, built with the MRA8DE 1.8-liter DOHC four-cylinder. Its mechanical repair depth is suited to professional technicians and experienced owners comfortable with factory procedures; many electronic and calibration jobs assume access to CONSULT, electrical test equipment, and model-specific service tools. Before lifting the vehicle or opening brake, fuel, or refrigerant systems, follow the manual's precautions and specified support points; the manual directs SRS maintenance to an authorized Nissan/Infiniti dealer.

Document package: a 4,196-page PDF split across 55 files. Nissan Pub. No. SM14E00B17U0, Edition and Revision October 2013.

  • Exact fitment: The identification tables separate 50-state cars (S 6MT/CVT; SV, FE+SV, SR, and SL CVT), California cars (S, SV, SR, and SL CVT), and Canadian cars (S and SV 6MT/CVT). Drivetrain chapters are keyed to the RS6F94R six-speed manual transaxle and RE0F11A CVT.

  • MRA8DE engine repair: Covers compression and valve-clearance checks, timing-chain and camshaft service, cylinder-head removal and disassembly, valve-oil-seal work, complete cylinder-block disassembly and inspection, piston and bearing selection, and engine removal for both transmission types. Cooling, lubrication, intake, exhaust, fuel-injector, and fuel-pump sections support the mechanical work.

  • Six-speed transaxle work: Provides RS6F94R removal, full case disassembly and assembly, and inspection of the input shaft, mainshaft, reverse idler shaft, synchronizers, bearings, oil seals, and final drive. The clutch material covers pedal adjustment, hydraulic-line service and bleeding, master cylinder, concentric slave cylinder, disc, and cover.

  • RE0F11A CVT service: Includes TCM and CVT-control diagnosis, additional service after TCM or transaxle replacement, G-sensor calibration, stall and line-pressure testing, CVT-position adjustment, fluid replacement and level adjustment, plus service for speed sensors, oil pan, fluid filter, oil warmer, electric oil pump, transaxle assembly, torque converter, and converter-housing seal.

  • Chassis, brakes, and steering: Details front hubs and drive shafts, front struts, transverse links and suspension member, rear shocks, springs and beam, and wheel-alignment inspection. Brake coverage distinguishes front disc, rear drum, and rear disc hardware and includes hydraulic piping, master cylinder, booster, bleeding, burnishing, VDC/TCS/ABS fault diagnosis, wheel-sensor service, and steering-angle neutral-position adjustment. EPS diagnosis and steering-column/gear work are also present.

  • Electrical diagnosis: Works through ECM, TCM, BCM, IPDM E/R, CAN networks, starting and charging, Intelligent Key and NATS, power windows, lighting, wipers, TPMS, audio/navigation, and Bose/non-Bose configurations. The chapters use system diagrams, DTC logic, reference values, active tests, component checks, symptom charts, and diagnostic work sheets rather than limiting coverage to parts locations.

  • Body, HVAC, and restraint systems: The body-repair section covers high-strength-steel precautions, panel replacement operations, body-alignment dimensions, sealing, and corrosion protection. Separate chapters address door and trunk adjustment, glass, roof, seats and trim, R-134a recovery/recharge and leak testing, compressor and refrigerant-circuit repair, automatic and manual HVAC diagnosis, SRS control-system diagnostics, and occupant-classification zero-point reset.

Circuit-Level Wiring Information

Representative drawings include Engine Control System, CVT Control System, Brake Control System, Power Steering Control System, SRS Air Bag System, and Automatic Air Conditioning System wiring diagrams. The General Information section explains connector symbols and terminal testing, while the power-supply chapter adds battery, accessory, and ignition routing; ground distribution; fuse and relay layouts; IPDM E/R terminal arrangements; and harness locations.

Specifications, Tools, and Repair Boundaries

Service Data and Specifications sections provide component torque data, approved fluids and capacities, wear and clearance limits, engine compression and valve data, transmission inspection limits, wheel alignment and brake dimensions, CVT shift/stall/line-pressure specifications, A/C refrigerant and oil data, and electrical test values. Named shop tools include the KV10111100 (J-37228) seal cutter, KV10112100 (BT-8653-A) angle wrench, KV311039S0 CVT charging pipe set, J-45741 ABS active wheel-sensor tester, J-46532 brake-height tool, and J-48710 A/C recovery/recycling/recharging unit.

For the RS6F94R, the concentric slave cylinder is not reusable after transaxle removal; as it returns to its original position, dust on the sliding area can damage the seal and cause a clutch-fluid leak. For the RE0F11A, the manual specifies Nissan NS-3 and warns that other fluid can damage the CVT.

CVT repair coverage stops short of a full internal belt-and-pulley overhaul: it covers diagnosis, calibration, external component service, unit removal, and torque-converter/converter-housing seal work. The included SRC section handles SRS control-system diagnosis and occupant-classification setup; the separately referenced SR removal/installation chapter for airbag modules, sensors, and the spiral cable is not included in this 55-file set.
