Canon Manual Features & Content Preview
- 588-page Canon-issued Service Manual PDF, dated February 3, 2006, for the iR7105, iR7095, and iR7086 Series, with dedicated iR7095P material in the installation, network, shutdown, and e-RDS sections.
- Maps DADF-Q1/M1, Paper Deck-W1/X1, Finisher-V1, Saddle Finisher-V2, High Capacity Stacker-A1, folding, punching, insertion, trimming, Card Reader-D1, and double-feed-detection configurations, including accessory compatibility and installation order.
- Covers removal, replacement, and post-repair setup for the main controller and HDD, reader/CCD and laser assemblies, drum/charging/developing systems, pickup/registration/duplex path, fixing unit, power supplies, and control PCBs.
- Includes factory adjustment and inspection procedures for shading correction, mirror-base positioning, surface-potential control, charging-wire setup, fixing nip, deck/cassette registration, skew correction, roller orientation, and double-feed sensing.
- Provides error-code diagnostics, printer/DADF/finisher jam codes, alarm data, PCB I/O and check-point references, service-mode functions, image test patterns, network PING fault isolation, and e-RDS communication troubleshooting.

Model and System Coverage
The cover identifies the iR7105/iR7095/iR7086 Series. Canon also supplies model-specific iR7095P sections for installation, network testing, controlled shutdown, accessory checks, and e-RDS service work. The iR7095P is therefore represented in defined areas rather than named as the primary model throughout every repair chapter.
Reader coverage is configuration-specific. The manual separates DADF-Q1 applications used with the iR7105/iR7095 from the DADF-M1 application associated with the iR7086, including different scanner replacement adjustments, white-level procedures, jam-code data, and self-diagnostic references. Core specifications identify a 108-mm amorphous-silicon drum, four-beam laser exposure, dry one-component toner development, and rated output of 105 ppm for the iR7105, 95 ppm for the iR7095, and 86 ppm for the iR7086. Installation data covers regional power ratings, environmental limits, ventilation, leveling, and workspace diagrams for fully configured finishing lines.
System drawings explain how the host copier can be combined with stackers, finishers, folding and punching units, an inserter, and a booklet trimmer. The compatibility notes are practical: the trimmer is paired with the saddle finisher, the inserter requires its mounting kit, and the standard punch unit and professional puncher are alternative configurations. The host manual covers configuration planning, installation order, recognition checks, and operational verification. Full repair procedures for the individual finishers, stackers, side paper decks, and other major accessories are referenced to separate Canon publications.
Repair and Adjustment Depth
The repair coverage goes well beyond routine maintenance. Controller sections address the main controller box and PCB, DDR-SDRAM, Boot ROM, HDD, video PCB, reader interface, DC controller, high-voltage boards, and the setup required after selected electronic parts are replaced. Reader repair covers the CCD unit, scanning lamp, inverter PCB, scanner drive cable, mirror bases, and laser scanner. Image-formation work extends to the photosensitive drum, drum cleaner, charging assemblies and wires, developing cylinder, blade, clutches, sub-hopper, and potential sensor.
Paper-path repair work includes deck and cassette pickup, manual feed, registration, duplex transport, delivery, double-feed detection, motors, solenoids, clutches, rollers, belts, and sensors. The fixing chapter adds upper and lower rollers, heaters, thermistors, thermal protection, cleaning web or belt, separation claws, delivery components, and fixing-nip checks.
Image-quality diagnosis is organized around Canon test patterns and the NA-3 chart. The manual guides the technician through density slope, solid-black density, fogging, shading correction, reader-versus-printer isolation, surface-potential checks, image-position adjustment, mirror positioning, charging-wire height, and registration correction. Electrical reference tables map motors, fans, sensors, switches, solenoids, and PCBs to connector locations, service-mode I/O, part numbers, and related error or alarm codes.
Diagrams, Diagnostics, and Service Tools
Named visual references include System Configuration with Input/Output Accessories, Combination of Delivery Accessories, the Machine Cross Section, Wiring Diagram of the Major PCBs, the Power-On Basic Sequence, and the Potential Control block and timing diagrams. They support signal tracing and system-level repair decisions, but this PDF is not the separate Canon circuit-diagram or parts-catalog publication.
The service-tool table identifies the FY9-2002 digital multimeter, FY9-4008 laser power checker, FY9-3040 mirror positioning tool, FY9-9196 NA-3 test sheet, FY9-3041 potential sensor tester electrode, and FY9-3014 environment sensor meter. SST and USB upgrade chapters cover normal and safe download modes, HDD formatting, controller and MEAP software, and backup-data handling.
Two repair cautions deserve attention. Cutting main power while the HDD is being accessed can damage the drive and lead to E602. During charging and developing assembly work, incorrect wire clearance, grounding-plate placement, or locking-plate seating can cut a charging wire, trap a harness, produce blank output, or create image faults. Disconnect power and follow the manual’s laser, high-voltage, and hot fixing-unit precautions before internal service.
