Important Shop Notes

The G4GC timing-belt adjuster is directional; turning it the wrong way can cause an automatic-tensioner malfunction. Cylinder-head bolts must be released in the specified sequence to avoid warpage or cracking, while bearing clearance is corrected through the marked bearing-selection system rather than by filing, scraping, or shimming the bearings or caps.

SRS, fuel-pressure, brake, refrigerant, and engine-support procedures involve stored energy, hazardous fluids, or suspended assemblies. Use the isolation, recovery, lifting, and protective equipment required for the system being serviced, and verify the exact model-year section before beginning repair work.
