The manual flags repair traps that can cause secondary damage. Opening all ink passages while ink remains in the tubes can drive it backward and leak through the tank needles; replacing the main controller PCB and maintenance-cartridge relay PCB at the same time can prevent the normal transfer of settings and counter data.

Disconnect the printer from AC power before removing covers or handling internal electrical assemblies.
