Coverage must be matched to each article header. Most detailed repair information is labeled for the 2003 Sorento—often the Sorento LX with the 3.5L V6—while specific sections extend to 2003–04, 2004, or the stated 2003–06 cooling application. The separate 2005 owner’s manual notes that equipment varies by drivetrain and installed options.

The owner’s manual identifies both 30-40LEi and A5SR1 automatic transmissions. Detailed transmission diagnosis and internal overhaul are limited to the 30-40LEI. The archived manual-transmission service, removal, and overhaul entries contain no usable procedure content, so this package is not an internal manual-gearbox repair reference.

Several cautions are specific to these systems. Measuring resistance across an airbag or pretensioner squib can cause accidental deployment. Applying excessive shop air to the front 4WD axle actuator can rupture its diaphragm. During transfer-case repair, incorrect sprocket orientation or thrust-washer alignment can damage the assembly, while a bent helical cam can damage the motor-shaft tang pin.
