Workshop Scope and Repair Notes
Boom shimming is not interchangeable between 2-, 3-, and 4-stage assemblies; an incorrect pad and shim arrangement can leave improper clearance and accelerate wear. The 320/20050 engine lifting brackets are specified for the engine alone, not the combined engine/transmission assembly, because overloading them can damage the lifting equipment or components. Hydraulic-ram repair also requires the piston rod and seals to be protected from welding spatter and contamination, with system pressure vented before lines or components are opened.
Section K covers JCB Dieselmax specifications, ECU and cold-start circuits, cooling-pack service, engine removal and replacement, and separation of the engine from the bevel box; it is not a full internal engine rebuild manual.
