Suzuki built this publication around the GSX-R1100K base manual. The L section records the 1990 service information that differs from the K model. The M section documents the 1991 changes and directs the technician back to the earlier sections for unchanged work. The engine-removal section warns that operating the clutch lever at that stage can damage the clutch piston retainer. For the M-model inverted fork, the manual identifies the Teflon-coated anti-friction metals and seal lips as damage-prone and calls for the metals to be renewed with the seals. Those model-specific cautions are a strong reason to use the correct section for each repair.
Brake, suspension, tire, electrical, and internal-engine repair can create serious hazards. Use the complete factory procedures and have safety-critical work handled by qualified personnel when needed.
