Drive Train, Suspension, and Chassis Repair

Drive-system procedures cover clutch disassembly and inspection, driven-pulley service, center-distance and parallelism checks, belt deflection, driven-shaft and gearcase work, reverse adjustment, hydraulic caliper and master-cylinder repair, brake bleeding, sprocket replacement, and final track tension and alignment. Troubleshooting charts isolate clutch, belt, brake, track-ratcheting, and wear-strip faults.

Rear-suspension chapters are separated for Bearcat XT, CFR, Crossfire/M-Series, F-Series/Z1, and Bearcat 570/T-Series/EXT skid frames. They cover skid-frame components and shock work, followed by ACT shock repair, Fox Air rebuilding/recharging, Fox Zero Pro service, and rebuildable-shock pressurization. The manual states that per-model general specifications were accessed through the Arctic Cat Cat Tracker dealer system. It also directs certain 4-stroke EFI electrical component tests to the separate Arctic Cat Diagnostic System Manual or Laptop Diagnostic Tool; this PDF still contains the resistance, voltage, sensor, starter, switch, CCU, servomotor, and wiring procedures listed above.

Safety comes first in the bay: verify the specified torque, clearance, fuel-system, brake, and suspension procedures before assembly or operation. Substituting the wrong drive-clutch puller or tightening the clutch fastener with an impact tool can damage the clutch and stationary sheave. APV exhaust valves and gaskets are directional, and crankshaft bearings must seat on their locating dowels before the crankcase is closed. Rear skid-frame components must return to the factory mounting locations shown in the diagrams, or shock and suspension damage can result.
