The 2001 edition covers Scrambler 50, Scrambler 90, and Sportsman 90. The 2003 book adds Predator 90; the 2004–2006 books cover Predator 50, Predator 90, and Sportsman 90; and the 2007 and 2009 editions cover Predator 50, Outlaw 90, and Sportsman 90. Model tables identify the 2001 Sportsman 90 as A01FA09CA and continue through the A03, A04, A05, A06, A07, and A09 youth-model codes.

These are service manuals, not the separate parts manuals referenced in their publication tables.

Engine, Transmission, and CVT Repair

The 2-stroke manuals cover compression testing, oil-pump adjustment and bleeding, engine removal, crankcase separation, cylinder and piston inspection, crankshaft checks, starter-drive and kick-start service, transmission repair, and final assembly. The 2006 edition expands the earlier five-chapter layout into dedicated Engine, CVT System, Final Drive/Transmission, Brakes, Fuel System, and Electrical chapters, with separate 50cc and 90cc transmission procedures.

The 4-stroke books use a different repair path for the M10A 50cc and H18S 90cc engines. Their engine sections cover leakdown testing, valve-clearance inspection, camshaft and rocker-arm service, cylinder-head and valve work, cam-chain and tensioner inspection, piston and ring service, oil-pump and strainer service, crankshaft and crankcase repair, and transmission disassembly. The 50cc uses a forward-only transmission; the 90cc section documents the integrated forward/neutral/reverse unit.

The early fuel chapters explain the pilot, needle-jet, and main systems and provide carburetor exploded views, float and inlet-needle checks, oil check-valve testing, and troubleshooting. The 4-stroke chapters treat camshaft timing and tensioner indexing as critical because an incorrect setup can allow piston-to-valve contact. Fuel, ignition, brake, and rotating-CVT repair should be performed by trained personnel with the ATV securely supported and the electrical system isolated as required.
