The service specifications identify the Cat 3013 as a 1.5-liter engine rated at 31.5 gross hp. The hydrostatic transmission is a Cat AA10VG18 tandem unit (Rexroth) with a 3800 psi drive-pump relief setting, paired with Eaton/Charlynn 4000 Light Series drive motors. The Rexroth auxiliary pump is rated at 10 gpm at 2800 rpm and 3000 psi; the Husko loader valve is also set to 3000 psi and requires 180–220 psi pilot pressure to move the spools.
Charge pressure has a factory serial break: RSA001 through RSA01056 use 450–500 psi, while RSA01057 and higher use 340–380 psi at high idle with warm oil. Repair-Specific Notes and Scope
Several factory cautions show the level of detail. Crossing the fuel-sending-unit wires disables the fuel gauge, while crossing its hoses prevents the engine from running; the float and pickup arrangement is also damage-sensitive. Removing the hydraulic reservoir access-cover bolt completely can drop its oval clamping disk into the tank, while losing the reservoir-gauge rubber washers can cause a leak. The exhaust flex pipe must not be kinked or twisted because it connects a frame-mounted muffler to a vibrating engine and can fail prematurely if distorted.
The service section is not an internal Cat/Perkins engine overhaul manual and does not provide internal tandem-pump or drive-motor rebuilding procedures.
