2005–2007 ASV RCV Track Loader Operation & Maintenance, Service and Parts Manual Set (P/N 2055-172)

This ASV set covers the 2005–2007 RCV rubber track loader from the R-Series with the operation and maintenance guide (ASVRC4OM, 6/05), Service Manual P/N 2055-172, Revision A (06/05), and Master Parts Manual P/N 2055-257 (9/07).

Text search, navigation and diagrams: Body text and parts lists are searchable; lettering within the circuit drawings and appended schematics is not. Five bookmarks use numeric filenames and link to the three manuals and two schematic sheets, without chapter-level navigation. The Rexroth hydrostatic drive coverage identifies the Cat AA20VG45T tandem pump and MCR 5 drive motors. The Husko load-sense loader valve, pilot generation block and Posi-Power control are covered alongside high- and low-flow auxiliary troubleshooting.

The charge-pressure section distinguishes filter-line readings from pump readings. That distinction helps a technician identify filter restrictions before treating a higher reading as a pump-adjustment problem.

Cylinder repair covers rod, piston and bore inspection, seal orientation and reassembly. The assembly notes address seal damage from inadequate lubrication and leakage caused by scratched internal surfaces.

Undercarriage and Lift Arm Service

Separate wheel-tube procedures cover 10-inch ball-bearing assemblies and 14-inch tapered-roller assemblies. The documentation identifies track installation tool 0703-138 and seal puller 0700-162, while the lift arm section covers torque-arm and control-arm joints.

The drive sprocket procedure warns that excessive force when resetting the bearing cap can mushroom the bearing shaft.

Work around raised lift arms and pressurized hydraulics requires the manual’s mechanical-support and pressure-relief precautions. Use appropriately equipped service personnel when the necessary tooling, lifting equipment or experience is lacking.

Standard joystick controls and the optional Case control pattern have separate operating descriptions and hose-routing diagrams. The operating guide explains the lap-bar and operator-presence interlocks, power quick-attach mechanism, lift arm braces and tilt-up ROPS/FOPS canopy.

Perkins 1104C-44 coverage centers on routine maintenance and machine-side troubleshooting; internal engine overhaul procedures are outside this set. Maintenance schedules cover fluid service, daily inspections, drive-belt tension and radiator/oil-cooler cleaning.

Serial Breaks and Replacement Parts

The parts catalog separates RSG 00101–00320 from RSG 00321–Current for the loader valve, quick-attach mechanism and lift arm linkage. “Current” means machines produced when the catalog was printed in September 2007.

Older and current bucket/tilt cylinders have separate service-parts listings and cannot be mixed as a working pair. The earlier quick-attach weldment has a documented round-pin conversion kit, 0403-011, helping identify the replacement arrangement before ordering parts.

The warm-engine charge-pressure procedure lists 700 +/- 50 psi at filter-line test port A with the engine at wide-open throttle, and 440 +/- 30 psi at pump test port B.

The general torque tables list 75 +/- 15 lb-ft for 1/2-inch fasteners and 2,700 +/- 300 Nm for M36 fasteners. These are general reference values; component-specific torque instructions are also provided.
