Super HICAS material includes hydraulic component repair and diagnosis with or without CONSULT. Twin-orifice power-steering diagnosis and anti-lock brake self-diagnosis, circuit checks, and component tests address systems distinct from the Z31 chapters.

Crankshaft and Rod Clearance Examples

The 1988 Z31 engine-overhaul chapter specifies crankshaft end play of 0.05–0.17 mm as standard, with a 0.30 mm limit.

Connecting-rod side clearance in the same chapter is 0.20–0.35 mm as standard, with a 0.40 mm limit. These values accompany the internal inspection and assembly material.
