Specifications and Repair Notes
With filter replacement, the 400 calls for 3 L (3.17 qt) of engine/transmission oil, while the 800 uses 2 L (2.11 qt) of engine oil plus 400 mL (14 U.S. oz) of gearbox oil. Cooling-system capacity is 2.5 L (2.65 qt), and the hydraulic brake system specifies DOT 4 fluid. The cooling-system leak test uses 103 kPa (15 PSI); radiator-cap replacement pressure is 110 kPa (16 PSI). The V-810 specifications give a minimum oil pressure of 350 kPa (51 PSI) at 6000 RPM, while both engine books provide valve-clearance, piston/cylinder, valve-guide, bearing, and other wear-limit data.
The general fastener chart covers metric M4 through M14 hardware across grades 5.8, 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9. Grade 12.9 values run from 4–5 N•m for M4 fasteners to 200 N•m (148 lbf•ft) for M14, with component-specific torque values throughout the repair procedures and exploded views.
Several repair traps are called out explicitly. Running without coolant can damage engine parts and the ceramic seal on the water-pump shaft. The CVT uses metric pulley threads, prohibits impact-wrench use during drive-pulley removal/installation, and treats the clutch as a precisely balanced assembly; the wrong puller or mixed used clutch parts can damage threads or upset that balance. In the V-810 bottom end, connecting-rod screws are one-time-use and require the specified torque-plus-angle method; the manual warns that a loosened rod screw can cause engine damage.
