Engine, Cooling, and Propulsion Repair
Internal engine work includes crankshaft alignment checks, piston/cylinder inspection, and combustion-chamber volume measurement. The 787 material also covers RAVE exhaust valves. An Engine Leakage Diagnostic Flow Chart separates checks of the cooling circuit, crankcase, and rotary-valve lubrication reservoir.
Cooling diagrams distinguish 717 and 787 water routing through the engine and exhaust. The manual warns that interchanging engine-specific exhaust-water fittings or changing the water-regulator spring calibration can cause serious engine damage.

Hull/deck coverage includes gelcoat damage, laminate fractures, hull-insert repair, and PPG refinishing procedures. This section is intended for damage assessment and the repairs described, not as a substitute for a complete fiberglass and gelcoat repair manual.
