CVT and Hydro-Gear Transaxle Repair

The LT 1040 uses the two-belt CVT arrangement. Hydro-Gear 310-0510 units are identified with 20-inch rear tires, 314-0610 units with 22-inch rear tires, and the heavier 320-3000 transaxle with GT models. These distinctions help match repair procedures and replacement parts to the installed drive system.

Hydrostatic diagnosis separates belt slip, brake drag, linkage problems, and relief-valve travel from internal transaxle faults. GT service extends to the charge pump, gerotor, filter, charge manifold, and check valve.
