Several manual-specific cautions are especially important during repair. Incorrect camshaft indexing can cause serious engine damage. The EBS driven clutch must be disassembled from the helix side or its one-way-clutch seals can be damaged. On the centralized Hilliard gearcase, an armature plate installed outside the roll-cage slots can damage the roller clutch.
